| occurrenceRemarks | Palm solitary but often growing in clusters, acaulescent but sometimes with prostrate or rarely stem. Tallest individual with 140-160 cm. tall. LEAVES 6-13 in crown, spirally arranged and apreadin. Leaf sheat ca. 6-16 cm long, pseudopetiole (leaf sheat plus petiole) is 10-20 cm long, with the petiole 8-15 cm x 4-7 mm wide and 2-4 mm thick with a fibrous leaf sheat, adaxially channeled and abaxially rounded. Leaf rachis 43-83 cm long. 19-26 pairs of pinnae inserted at various angles near the base but otherwise regularly arranged on the upper part to the leaf towards the tip, in clusters of 2-3. Basal pinnae 23-38 x 0.3-0.6 cm, middle leaflets 22-41 x 0.5-1.1 cm, apical leaflets 22.5-29.5 x 0.1-0.3 cm. Androgynous. INFLORESCENCE spicate or spirally branched. Prophyll 6.5-10 x 1.0-1.5 cm. Peduncular bract with a total length of 32-45 cm and the expanded or inflate part of the bract measuring 19.5-35 x 1.3-2.5 cm and with a 1.8-3.1 cm perimeter and a 0.8-2 mm thickness: peduncle 12.5-18 cm x 3.0-5.0 mm; rachillae in number of 1-4(-6), 6-15 cm long at the apex, 9.5-18cm long at the base; rachis 0-5.5 cm long; inflorescence axis 12-23 cm long. Fruit is 1.8-2.7 x 1.0-2.2 cm, brown with greenish apex whwn mature. Obs: Exsicata montada em 2 partes. Habitat: Campo Rupestre Habito: Palmeira |
