fieldNotes Shrub 1.5 m tall. young growth ferrugineous-tomentose, not viscid nor smelly. Corollas pale violet; anthers yellow. very similar to, but different from S. caricaefolium Rusby which also grows here. this latter species has less white corollas and is much less tomentose.
