identificationRemarks | https://www.biodiversitylibrary.org/item/109985#page/81/mode/1up This was included in Neolochmaea until 1998. The key difference is the presence of a third light-brownish elytral costa before the side margin, along with overall slightly broader and often and less parallel shape a bit or a more pointy elytral apex. Of the three Iucetima species, one (I. minor) is found further South, around the Paraná and Paraguay river basins (including the Pantanal). I. acrocostata and I. costifera are both Amazonian and recorded from Pará. I. acrocostata seems to be the best match here, because the third elytral costa appears to be distinctly elevated. |
