DESCRIPTION: large species, adults 4-5mm, cuticle with circular reticulations, heavily calcified, thick, head rostrum rounded lobe in dorsal view, in lateral view projecting antrodorsally and curving downward in male, or much shorter and with small point anteriorly with thickened basal part in female, AII3 spine short anteriorly angled cone, base width subequal to length, male with lateral flanges on head and pereon, female narrower, not projecting laterally from head or body, pereonite 4 with large posterior lobe on margin, pers 5-7 short, only somewhat longer than per 4 alone, medially fused, pltn weakly convex laterally, postlat spines short, subequal to short uropods, with ridge projecting anteriorly from uropods on dorsal surface in both sexes, male laterally more broad, flanged and somewhat sinsuoidal posteriorly, male with flat spines projecting posteriorly from per 7 over insertion of pl I, legs seem unusually robust and long for haploniscids C male and adult female, OP I BC Norte #51, img 4996-5012. REPLICATE: central 9. 0-2cm
