identificationRemarks After much investigation and reviewing the secondaries and secondary coverts of every single raptor that occurs in that area (adults and juveniles), i’ve reached the conclusion that those feathers are from an adult white-collared kite, even though i’m aware that they’re critically endangered and it would be highly unlikely for anyone to find one of their feathers. All other raptors can be ruled out individually based on different feather traits (like having thicker and paler anterior vane bars / no anterior vane bars at all or more posterior vane bars, having lighter posterior vanes in general, not having any wingbars, not having white outlines around their wingbars, having black feather tips, having different greater secondary wing coverts, more rufous feathers, etc). The best reference picture for the secondaries of this species is https://i.pinimg.com/474x/8a/30/c0/8a30c0951f6cc774def7a161e6bee6c3.jpg . If you had any other species in mind, tell me so that i explain why i ruled them out. It would take too long to explain how i ruled out every single species since there’s two dozens of them
